Who is responsible

The data controller for this programme is Biznii, operating under the BizNii brand from Malta. For privacy enquiries, requests or withdrawal of consent, contact support@biznii.com.

What we collect and why

Your email address is required so we can manage your application and contact you about registration and testing opportunities. Odoo edition, Odoo version, Android version, interest and comments are optional. These help us understand compatibility needs, review requested features and select testers manually. We also keep the provider’s receipt date, consent answer, privacy-notice version and a private application status.

Please do not submit credentials, API keys, database exports or private business information. We do not need your name, phone number, business address or Odoo server details. Formspark also processes connection metadata such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser information and the referring site for delivery, service operation and abuse prevention, as described below.

Legal basis and consent

The programme uses consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) as its legal basis. The registration checkbox is unchecked by default. Registration requires your affirmative consent to the stated application purposes. You may leave every technical question blank. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@biznii.com; withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal. Without this consent, we cannot manage an application.

Storage, recipients and international transfers

Registration information is submitted over HTTPS to Formspark, operated by Trampoline Software SRL in Belgium. Its published Data Processing Agreement describes storage in Ireland and Germany, receipt of connection metadata and processing on the controller’s behalf. Its subprocessor list describes EEA hosting and some processing outside the EEA, with safeguards including adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Formspark sends registration notification emails to BizNii’s administrator through Google’s Gmail service. These emails contain submitted registration information and are used to monitor and manage applications. Google processes the email copies under its Privacy Policy. Google operates servers worldwide, so email information may be processed outside Malta and the EEA; its data transfer information explains applicable safeguards, including adequacy mechanisms and Standard Contractual Clauses where required. We do not send confirmation emails or subscribe you to a newsletter; successful submissions are acknowledged on this website. Formspark’s automatic spam filtering, allowed-domain restriction and a hidden honeypot field help protect the registration service from abuse.

Applications are accessible only to authorised BizNii administrators and contracted processors involved in registration. Applicant records are not placed in the public website or GitHub repository. Google Play will not receive your registration automatically; any later Play invitation or code redemption has separate Google processing.

Retention and deletion

Registration records will be deleted no later than three months after receipt, or earlier following withdrawal or a valid deletion request where applicable. This covers the application in Formspark and copies held in exports, private status trackers and Gmail notification emails. The deadline is measured from the original registration date, not the email delivery date. Notification emails are deleted along with their copies in Gmail’s Trash; deletion requests also cover these email copies. BizNii manages deletion of these records. Any longer tester participation will need its own information and appropriate legal basis.

The three-month deadline applies to active registration records and BizNii-held copies. It does not override the provider’s separate technical retention periods. Formspark’s published DPA currently specifies 30-day recovery for deleted submissions, 12 months for submitter IP addresses and derived location, 12 months for filtered submissions (visible for 30 days), and seven days for provider-generated export files. These Formspark periods and Google’s own technical retention processes are separate from BizNii’s three-month registration retention period; deleting an application or notification email does not immediately erase all provider logs or recoverable copies. Google describes its deletion processes in its data retention information. Registrations must not be retained indefinitely.

Your rights and privacy enquiries

Email support@biznii.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability where applicable, or withdrawal of consent. Use the address you registered with so we can verify your request without asking for unnecessary identity documents. You may also have a right to object where applicable. You can complain to Malta’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner or your local supervisory authority.

Marketing and tester selection

Registration is not a newsletter subscription. No broader marketing consent is requested. Choosing “future updates” does not authorise unrelated marketing. Any future newsletter would require a separate optional choice. Selection is manual; there is no solely automated selection or decision with legal or similarly significant effects. Registration does not guarantee selection or a promotional code.
