BIZNII FOR ODOO / PRIVACY POLICY
How BizNii for Odoo accesses, uses, stores and shares information when you connect to Odoo.
Effective date: 15 October 2026 · App policy
Business records and messages are exchanged directly with the Odoo server you choose.
Saved credentials, business caches and pending changes are protected on your Android device.
Photos, documents, maps and support messages follow the actions you choose.
This privacy policy applies to BizNii for Odoo, the Android app provided by BizNii. For privacy enquiries, contact support@biznii.com.
The app connects to an existing Odoo account on the server you configure. It does not create a separate BizNii cloud account or operate a separate BizNii business-record or messaging server. Your organisation or Odoo service provider controls the records, user access, hosting and retention on that server. Its privacy policy also applies to those records.
The information available to the app depends on your organisation’s Odoo modules, your user permissions and the features you use.
| Information | Purpose & destination |
|---|---|
| Connection and account details | Server address, database name, login, user identifiers, selected company and API key or password are used to authenticate with your chosen Odoo server. Saved credentials are encrypted locally. |
| Business and contact records | Customer and supplier names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers; products, tasks, calendar items, sales, purchases, invoices, payments and accounting records are accessed and updated on Odoo for the workflows you use. Some data is cached on the device. |
| Messages and files | Record discussions, private/group messages, mentions, selected photos, attachments, job documents and signatures are sent to Odoo when you post or upload them. Supported job evidence may wait locally for sync. |
| Device settings and diagnostics | App preferences, reminder settings, local identifiers, synchronization status and limited error information support the app’s operation and troubleshooting. App diagnostics stay on the device unless you choose to share them. |
| Trial and purchase records | Your trial start date, purchase receipt and access status are saved on your device. Google Play checks and confirms purchases when a connection is available. BizNii does not receive your payment-card details through the app. |
| Support enquiries | If you contact BizNii, your email address, message and any attachments you send are received through email and used to respond and investigate your enquiry. |
| Barcode-scanning service data | Google’s scanner service may collect device and app information, identifiers, usage and performance metrics, configuration and errors. Auto-zoom can also produce scanning-session and zoom metrics. See the services section below. |
The Odoo server and its hosting provider receive network requests and may record connection information, such as IP address, request times and activity, under their own policies.
The current app does not include advertising or sell business data. Trial and purchase information is used to provide and verify app access, including restoring eligible purchases. It does not include a BizNii advertising analytics or automatic remote crash-reporting service. The Google scanning component has its own service diagnostics, described below.
Remote Odoo connections use HTTPS. Saved login details, business records and pending changes are encrypted on your device, with keys protected by Android. Each connection keeps its saved information separate. App-private business records and connection details are excluded from Android backup and device transfer.
You can enable the privacy screen to block app screenshots and recent-app previews, and use device authentication for supported sensitive sections. Authentication is handled by Android; BizNii for Odoo does not receive your biometric templates. Widgets, notifications and exported files can be visible outside the app, so review their privacy settings and recipients.
Protect your phone and Odoo credentials. Once you export or share a file, the receiving app, person or storage service controls its copy.
On your device: saved connection details remain until you remove them or clear app storage. Cached records, diagnostics and pending work remain as needed for app operation until cleared, replaced or removed. Pending changes are updated as synchronization completes. Deleting a connection removes its saved profile and credential; it does not guarantee removal of every cached file or pending change.
Use Administration to clear supported caches. This preserves credentials and pending work. To remove all app-private device data, use Android Settings → Apps → BizNii for Odoo → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. Sync or review pending changes first: clearing storage can permanently remove work that has not reached Odoo. Files you exported to other folders or apps must be deleted separately.
On Odoo: uninstalling the app or deleting a connection does not delete your Odoo account, messages, attachments or business records. Ask your organisation’s Odoo administrator for access, correction or deletion requests. Its retention requirements, including accounting or legal obligations, apply to server records and backups.
Access records: the app retains local trial and purchase evidence for licensing and recovery. Clearing storage or uninstalling removes app-private copies; it does not cancel a purchase or remove Google’s transaction history. Google applies its own transaction-retention rules.
Support correspondence: email messages and attachments are retained to handle your enquiry and related support follow-up. You may request deletion at support@biznii.com; necessary records may be retained where required for legal obligations or resolving a dispute. External providers apply their own retention policies to data they hold.
Your organisation determines the purposes and lawful basis for its Odoo business records. Using the app does not replace its duties to inform individuals, manage permissions or meet data-protection requirements. BizNii handles support correspondence to respond to your request, provide requested support and, where necessary, meet legal obligations or pursue legitimate interests in resolving technical issues and disputes. The relevant basis depends on the enquiry and relationship; consent is not assumed merely because you use the app.
Business records are exchanged with your configured Odoo server. Google and other providers process information under their own roles and policies. The Terms of Use describe licence and operational responsibilities; accepting licence terms is separate from any privacy consent required by law.
You choose the Odoo server and the records or files you act on. You can remove connection profiles, clear app-private storage and manage notifications, alarm access, device locks and app permissions in Android settings.
BizNii for Odoo uses your existing Odoo account; it does not offer new user-account registration. Requests to delete or change that account belong with the organisation that manages it. For information held by BizNii through support, email us to request access, correction or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain a copy of your information, or lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority, including Malta’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us for information about any international transfer of support data and the applicable safeguards; Odoo hosting and Google services follow the arrangements of those providers.
BizNii for Odoo is designed for business use and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to BizNii through support, contact us so we can review and address it.
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the app’s privacy information and store disclosures where appropriate.
