03 / YOUR RIGHTS

Legal protections remain.

Mandatory consumer rights and data-protection obligations are preserved.

1. Introduction and independent software

These Terms of Use and Disclaimer concern BizNii for Odoo, the Android application provided by BizNii. BizNii for Odoo is an independent third-party application intended to interact with compatible Odoo systems. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supplied by Odoo S.A. Odoo is a trademark of Odoo S.A.

These terms describe the app licence and responsible use. They supplement applicable Google Play purchase terms and do not reduce rights already acquired or mandatory legal protections. The Privacy Policy explains data handling separately.

2. Application licence and purchases

Subject to the rights supplied with your purchase or trial and applicable law, you may install and use the app for your own authorised Odoo work. Ownership of the application and its intellectual property is not transferred. Do not unlawfully redistribute the app, bypass licensing or use it to access systems without authority. Statutory rights, including any permitted interoperability or software-analysis rights, remain unaffected.

The optional trial lasts 72 hours and does not automatically charge you. Lifetime access is a separate one-time Google Play purchase, not a subscription. It is restored through the relevant Play account, subject to valid purchase status. Google Play confirms price, taxes and applicable purchase conditions. Odoo hosting, subscriptions and third-party services are separate. Refunds, withdrawals and remedies remain governed by applicable law and store arrangements; these terms do not remove them.

3. Supported Odoo environments

The app requires Android 8.0 or newer and a compatible Odoo 14–20 server. Your hosting plan must permit the required external API access. Available functions depend on installed modules, selected company and effective Odoo permissions.

Community editions have been tested. Enterprise-only modules, custom modules, localisations, server policies and future Odoo changes may behave differently or be unsupported. Versions outside Odoo 14–20 are not covered by this compatibility range. Username/password sign-in is available across Odoo 14–20; API-key sign-in requires Odoo 19 or 20 and the required API access. Test your configuration before relying on the app for important work. A successful connection test does not certify every workflow or third-party module.

4. User responsibilities and permissions

Use only accounts and business information you are authorised to access. Keep credentials secure, protect your device, install appropriate updates and manage user roles and access permissions through Odoo. Check the selected connection and company before acting. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information you enter or share and for obtaining any necessary authority to process it.

Review device notification and widget privacy settings. Report unexpected behaviour promptly to support, with the app version and a description that omits passwords, API keys and unnecessary personal data.

5. Data processing and synchronization

The app reads and changes records on the Odoo server you configure. Odoo remains the business system of record. A locally displayed result, queued item or timeout does not always establish whether a server operation completed. Refresh and verify the server record before repeating a consequential action.

Synchronization may be delayed or interrupted, and conflicts may require manual review. The app cannot guarantee flawless synchronization or compatibility with all Odoo configurations and third-party modules. Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy; these terms do not replace applicable data-protection duties.

6. Offline functionality

Offline access is limited to information already cached and supported queued To-Do and job-evidence actions. It does not provide a complete offline Odoo system. Financial, sales, stock, purchasing and private-message sending actions require connectivity. Cached records may be incomplete or out of date.

Reconnect to the correct workspace, review pending changes and conflicts, and confirm important results in Odoo. Clearing storage, uninstalling, losing a device or removing data may permanently remove work that has not reached the server. Local encryption protects storage; it is not a server backup or a guarantee against data loss.

7. Backup responsibilities

Keep regular Odoo server backups and verify that they can be restored. Choose a backup frequency and retention period appropriate to your operations, and keep a protected copy separate from the live server. Before significant changes, confirm that your administrator or hosting provider has a recent usable backup and a recovery process.

The app does not replace server backups. Review and synchronize pending device work before clearing storage or reinstalling.

8. Connection interruptions and data risks

Connection interruptions, device problems, software errors or changes to your Odoo server can affect synchronization and may cause information to be incomplete, duplicated or lost. Keep regular backups and check important records after an interruption.

If something looks wrong, avoid repeating the affected action. Contact support or your Odoo administrator with the details so the issue can be investigated.

9. Third-party servers and networks

Odoo hosting, Google Play, Android, network operators, email, maps and other services have their own availability, policies and conditions. Outages, authentication changes, API restrictions and provider modifications can interrupt app functions, billing or purchase recovery. Availability of these services is outside our control.

10. Software errors and compatibility

Software can contain defects and configurations can change. Review release information, use supported versions and test updates against your workflows where practical. Android permissions, battery restrictions and connectivity may delay notifications; reminders are an aid and should not be your only control for important deadlines.

Some workflows require review in native Odoo. Any legally required conformity, security or other updates remain subject to applicable law.

11. Financial and business transaction verification

Verify business-critical transactions, including quotations, orders, invoices, credit notes, vendor bills, payments, tax treatment and stock movements, against the relevant Odoo records. Check counterparties, currency, quantities, amounts, dates, journals and company before confirming an action.

Local financial summaries and statements have the scope described in the app and are not a substitute for professional accounting, tax or legal advice or required statutory reporting. Registering a payment record in Odoo is not itself a bank transfer. Obtain qualified advice where appropriate.

12. Warranty limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, no additional contractual warranty is given that the app will be uninterrupted, free of defects or suitable for every configuration or business purpose. This limitation does not remove promises expressly made as part of your contract, mandatory standards of conformity or any legally required updates and remedies.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer excludes liability for indirect or consequential damages, including business interruption, lost profits and loss of business opportunities.

Nothing in these terms or this disclaimer excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including mandatory consumer rights and applicable data-protection obligations. This includes liability for fraud, and for death, personal injury, intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence wherever exclusion or restriction is prohibited by law.

14. Mandatory consumer rights

If you act as a consumer, applicable Maltese and EU consumer protections continue to apply, including rights concerning supply, conformity, required updates and remedies for defective digital content or services. Depending on the circumstances, remedies may include bringing the product into conformity, a price reduction or termination and reimbursement.

Applicable withdrawal rights and any lawful requirements for their loss are determined by law and the purchase process; a general acceptance of these terms does not waive them. See Malta’s Digital Content and Digital Services Contracts Regulations and the European Commission’s digital contract guidance.

15. Applicable law and changes

These terms are governed by Maltese law, subject to applicable EU law and conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections of the law that would otherwise apply, including those of your habitual residence where applicable. Your mandatory rights concerning jurisdiction and access to competent courts remain unaffected; these terms do not require all consumers to bring claims exclusively in Malta.

Updated terms will carry a new effective date. We will provide notice of material changes where required. Changes do not retrospectively remove acquired purchase rights or statutory protections. If a provision is unenforceable, it applies only to the lawful extent and the remaining terms continue subject to applicable law.

16. Contact and support

For BizNii for Odoo support, licence or legal enquiries, contact the provider, BizNii, at support@biznii.com. For server backups, account permissions or records held by your organisation, contact your Odoo administrator or hosting provider as well.

Include the app and Android versions and a concise description of the issue. Do not send credentials or unredacted business records. See our support page and Privacy Policy.
